After helping popularize UGGs, Pamela Anderson is now boycotting the boots after learning they're made from real sheepskin.





"I'm getting rid of our Uggs," Anderson, 39, writes in her online diary.





"I feel so guilty for that craze being started around Baywatch days – I used to wear them with my red swimsuit to keep warm – never realizing that they were SKIN!"





It seems Anderson, 39, thought the boots' woolly lining was attached to a synthetic backing. In fact, the boots are made from sheepskin with the fur intact. "I thought they were shaved kindly," she writes.

yeah it's called supply and demand idiots. if people stopped wearing uggs, leather and fur then the animals wouldn't be bred and raised specifically for their fur. so to the girl that said that she pities the animals but they're raised for this purpose, you're wrong and obviously you haven't put much thought into your argument because if people didn't wear uggs and leather the need to breed and raise animals for their skin and fur wouldn't even exist so by buying uggs you're contributing to the murder of thousands of animals. Think it through. It's all linked together.





oh and to the girl directly above me,i have stopped eating hamburgers, hot dogs, bacon and ham
Reply:no.....what do you think your leather boots, jacket are made of??, sure i pity the animal, but they are raised especially for this purpose, its not like they get taken out of the wild and are killed for their skin
Reply:I agree with Nne O. They kill animals for meat and we eat them and then they are gone. At least with Uggs we will wear them again and again and the boots never go to waste!

Reply:nope.doesnt matter to me.someone kills some type of animal for all kinds of things I have.
