Do u wear UGGS?

Now after reading this will u stop wearing them like pam anderson?

y/ynot

After helping popularize UGGs, Pamela Anderson is now boycotting the boots after learning they're made from real sheepskin.

"I'm getting rid of our Uggs," Anderson, 39, writes in her online diary.

"I feel so guilty for that craze being started around Baywatch days – I used to wear them with my red swimsuit to keep warm – never realizing that they were SKIN!"

It seems Anderson, 39, thought the boots' woolly lining was attached to a synthetic backing. In fact, the boots are made from sheepskin with the fur intact. "I thought they were shaved kindly," she writes.

"People like to tell me all the time that I started that trend – yikes!

Do u wear UGGS?
love them

not gonna stop wearing them
Reply:w/e i dont wear them anyway
Reply:Nope. I don't wear them or own them.
Reply:no, everyone wears them and they're not that nice.
Reply:i love them. they are the most comfortable thing ever.

although thats sad, they are my favorite.
Reply:What the heck? Uggs were NOT around during the Baywatch days, I have no clue what she's smoking.

I got a pair about four years ago, just as they were becoming popular with the celebrities. They went away for a while and now this past year they're back! =[ I never wear mine in public, they are quite ugly. If you're going to buy boots like that, there are a lot better options.
Reply:To the people saying they are not real skin, home come on the official Uggs website it said they were? I never wore them and never will.

UGGly.
Reply:dont care

Reply:uhmm

Reply:No, I don't wear them, they're ugly. Haha. UGGly.

Cat and dog cruelty in China?

Are you aware what your buying and that cat and dog fur is used in coats, linings for boots and gloves, stuffed toys, and even homeopathic aids for arthritis.

Help stop this sick trade by sick people and sign the petition at this link :

You Can also help by writing a letter to

the Chinese ambassador urging China to enact an animal welfare law that will stop the cruel handling of dogs, cats and other animals at markets and during transportation:

Cat and dog cruelty in China?
I'm a member of Peta and have been for the last 2 years i have petitioned the ambassador of china along with Peta daily for the last 6 months, and this trade has to stop,i am disgusted by it,but i am doing something about it,i am petitioning and doing what ever i can to stop this.

last month we also petitioned the Canadian government to get the seal cull stopped,i never stop working along side Peta, animal cruelty cosmetic testing, the list goes on ,but i work hard, and its barbaric, but i have been aware of this trade for the last year which was highlighted on the BBC news last night.

we need more signatures more bombarding the Chinese government, with Peta we are doing something about it,i don't need to watch the links Peta send me weekly videos of there undercover reporters and i am in tears every time i watch them ,skinning a cat dog fox alive and then watching them die in agony ,some nation of animal lovers we are,

well done for bringing this to peoples attention and it would be good to have more people on board helping Peta stop this barbaric trade
Reply:your welcome and hopefully your question got us a few more signatures as well Report It

Reply:I agree with xashuhleeeexxx it's none of your buisness. Besides the dogs are espeacially bred for this purpose. Just liek cattle are bred for food dogs in china are bred for food and if they use the fur for clothing then so be it, it's not wasting anything. Besides don't we do the same with leather? Why don't we all write a letter to the united states government to implement a law prohibiting leather?

Funny isn't it we can kill cows and pigs and chickens by the tons and when it's something closer to home it's insanity. I believe you are all a bunch of hypocrites. Go screw yourselves and stop meddling in other people's affairs.
Reply:look my dog %26amp; cat cruelty but not just in china every where
Reply:WELL I THINK THATS SO SAD WHAT THEY ARE DOING,YES WE HAVE CRUELTY HAPPENING EVERYWHERE AND DONT YOU THINK ITS TIME IT ALL STOPPED..... im sorry but i can not watch them pictures but i will write to see if that helps.... thanks for caring
Reply:Hmm, I suspect the Chinese are a law unto themselves - so if they wish to torture %26amp; eat dogs there ain't a lot no petition is going to do about it.
Reply:I saw the pictures on sky news yesterday, and could believe what i was looking at. The us banned these items several years ago, why as it took the rest of Europe so long to act.

I will take a copy of the details you have listed, and consider the petition signed.
Reply:as soon as i saw the link for the petition i signed it! and after i watched a movie i look right at my two doggies and my kitty and started to cry. i really hope all those dogs went to heaven and those kittys too and i hope those people come back as turds!
Reply:I am always writing about cruelty to animals, it is a terrible thing, we as the human race have a great deal to answer for about the lack of interest in the World animal welfare
Reply:dont preach. i dont like fur coats anyways
Reply:Hi I saw such a story on my local news last night and cried my eyes out! I agree with what people have said above about there being cruelty everywhere and that we kill for leather and meat etc. Im not a vegetarian. - But its how they were killing the animals that made me most sad. They were chaining them up to fences and skinning them alive. Keeping them in appauling conditions. We are never going to stop humans killing animals for our use - but this is just disgusting. Maybe im a hypocrite because I eat meat- yes I am soft and love dogs and cats- maybe i close my eyes to where my meat comes from? I think so. But when I see the reality I just feel so sad. I want to help stop this.
Reply:Hey animal rights crusader, while you worry about dogs and cats in china, there are plenty of animals that are suffering right here at home.

Why don't you go picket a Petco or something ??
Reply:again?
Reply:I got the email from Ingrid and did this earlier! Thanks for posting!
Reply:Oh my Gosh!! I hate what the world is becoming! I am an animal rights activist and really appreciate what you are doing. I already wrote a letter to him and to the president of the USA. Kepp up the good work. The animals are counting on caring people like us to help them.

hmm i didnt know that... interesting information. maybe i should stop wearing mine.
Reply:Hmmmm, Let's recap. Cowboy boots are made from cows, suede jackets are from cows, majority of purses, wallets, couches, chairs, horse saddles, car interior, shoes, etc. I really don't think the Ugg movement will make an impact. She uses leather whips in her sex video's anyway. Maybe she should boycott that instead.
Reply:She sdumb

I own 5 pairs and am gettin more

baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Reply:Here is what I posted on the other topic very similar to this:

There is no way she really though they were syntheic. It says on the box and on the tag that they are sheepskin. She is only making a fuss now because she got in trouble with PETA, who pays her a lot of money to do their campaigns.

I don't know why everyone is suddenly so outraged that Uggs are sheepskin... It seems like most people don't know that leather is skin from an animal. The sheep skins that Ugg uses are from sheep that were being killed for food anyway (think lamb). Ugg just goes to the food manufacturing companies and makes deals to get the skins. There is very little loss of skin since animals have to be slaughtered for the meat to be fit for human consumption. Sheep are not dying just to make Uggs. PETA is not a trustworthy group, and anything they say needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

All leather is skin. Suede is leather with a different treatment. Most shoes that people wear are leather. It is very hard to find vegan shoes. It is getting easier, but it is still tough. It has to be soemthing you are looking for actively, not something you stumble on.
Reply:i hate MOST animals. i have uggs %26amp; it doesn't really phase me that they are made from sheep. whatevss.
Reply:Not another.. she's getting paid a whole ton of money from PETA. I think she'll say what they want her to say whether she agree's or not. I mean, i've seen her wear fur a lot - that obviously didn't concern her. Plus, she probably eats meat and lamb so it wouldn't make much difference to her anyway whether she throws out a few pairs of boots. I bet half her shoes are made out of leather - cows. I don't think she''s really the most innocent spokesperson for that.
Reply:I'm glad she's finally realised. It is so wrong to kill an animal for a pair of shoes.

PS. I'm not being hypocritical - I'm a vegetarian and I go all out to not buy non-vegan shoes.

PPS. Paula McCarthy or someone with a similiar name is famous for not using any animal skins or furs etc in her shoes.

What's the best way to make cosplay boot covers?

Hi there

I'm making boot covers for me and my girlfriend's catgirl cosplays, or at least hoping to. We're working with white fur a lot, so though they don't look too bad, seams are quite visible. Hence, I want to do my best to minimise seam appearance.

I've seen a boot cover tutorial which basically suggested two bits of material cut to shape then sewn - but that would leave a seam down the front. Though I'll use that method if need be, I don't want to in the ideal world.

We're planning on just using elastic strips under our shoes to keep the covers in place though I am vaguely considering getting textured non-slip material and making the covers more boot like.

Oh, and I'm going to be wearing platform shoes (i.e. no boots), and she'll be wearing calf-high flat boots - just in case that helps.

So, anyone?

What's the best way to make cosplay boot covers?
Simplicity Patterns had a how to for boot covers, but it's for faux fur boot covers. They're using elastic and the instructions aren't hard to understand.

i went christmas shopping yesterday and i got these few things:

a skirt that sort of looks like a mermaid tail but it's above the knee,

and chuck all star coverse sneaks.

what do you think of these items?

Where can I find the warmest gloves and hat on the planet???

Alright, I have recently gotten an opportunity to travel to Alaska and Siberia and therefore, it has been requested that I buy some WARM clothing. So i guess my question is where can I find the warmest gloves and hat especially but boots as well, which can be Fur(which I assume is incredibly warm) but it can also be another material such as Wool or Goretex.

The reason this is so important to me is that when you get in temperatures such as that of Siberia, it can kill you very quickly if you cannot stay warm. Considering I am from TN, I do not know cold like I am about to go into. Therefore, individuals items or companies would help greatly but I am pretty much asking how Inuits or Eskimos or the the people of Siberia, what do they wear to survive? Cost is not as much an option. Granted, there definitely is a limit to what I can spend, however, my main concern is that IT WORKS. Anyways, hope you all can help, thanks.

Where can I find the warmest gloves and hat on the planet???
The best thing would be to find some one who's done the same trip - they'll be more than happy to give suggestions and share their experiences! Are you going for work, through a certain travel agency, with friends? Look it up on travel sites and blogs, you're sure to find something!
Reply:check northface they are really warm but idk how cold it is where you are going to be.
Reply:First of all: When are you going? Because during the summer it can be quite warm over there.

You can get very good winter gear at Land`s End, they tell you exactly for which temperatures the clothes are made for.

And then there are always the shops at the local airports.

Too early to wear?!?

Do you think its to early to wear boots over jeans. Myn arent those fur kind or anything. There this like unexplainable material with very little fur on top and there brown. I was thinking about wearing it with a long sleeve shirt and tank over it with jeans and maybe the boots. But then I started wondering that it's too early to wear them.

What do you think?!

Too early to wear?!?
no its not 2 early. its already fall, and its getting colder.
Reply:no its not too early. girls at my school wore them last week.

but it has to be on a cold/cool day.
Reply:I think it depends on the weather...some states its cool already...
Reply:It is a bit too early. Maybe wait till the weather is really chilly and cold. Probably in the middle of October.
Reply:you might be able to pull off the boots, but i would say to wear just a tank or something with it, no long sleeve
Reply:who cares, just wear what you want when ur hot or cold. Don't be like those girls who are still in mini skirt and tank top during winter
Reply:i think it depends on wat its like in ur school and wat its like outside

ik in my school kids are wearing pants and sweatshirts and long sleeve shirt all the time

so i think it all depends on the weather!!!

i hope i helped
Reply:yeah it is sort of early. cuz i'm still wearing flip flops and shorts these days..... so.
Reply:no some girls in my school wore uggs and it was like 70 degrees everyone thought they were RETARDED for wearing and buying them in the first place because they are UGGly AND for wearing them when its 70 degrees
Reply:well it actually depends where you live

like i live in cali and we dont wear that stuff yet, were in shorts and tanktops but were like that basically every season hahah

but if you live in like ny or something, id def wear the boots. im sure theyd look great:]
Reply:it is cold of course it isnt too early
Reply:i don't think it's too early. the seasons are changing so wear as long as you don't think it'll be too hot!!!

Do u think it is wrong to...?

do u think its wrong to have ugg boots but hate ppl who wear fur. becuase for fur its more like a wild animal that is HUNTED. but for sheep they are breed to be used for boots like that PLUS food.

i am a total and complete animal lover, i am against ppl who wear fur becuse those animals are killed and hunted for just that one thing. (i am also against hunting) but as for sheep. people eat lamb and use them for more than just one thing (and plus they are also breed)

so i would appreciate if none of u guys start saying **** to me like "wtf is wrong w/ you" becuase iam being serious. and also if ur like a peta person. please dont get all angry on me. seriosuly, its just a question.

Do u think it is wrong to...?
just respect other eople and dont force them not to wear fur, im ok with fur and hunting its peoples choice and you cant control people.
Reply:In the Bible God was the first to make clothes of animal skins for Adam and Eve. So take this question up with Him.
Reply:sounds like you're overthinking the issue.
Reply:I don't hate anyone for what they choose to wear. However, I do not think that it is right to kill baby seals and foxes simply so a rich woman can strut her stuff with them on her back. Minks are a little different because they are like a rodent, they breed like mad. I would love to have a mink coat, but I would never buy one because I don't believe in that type of killing. If you are wearing Ugg boots because they are comfortable and you use them for that reason then, no I don't think it's wrong. Leather jackets are used to keep people warm, not just for fashion sense. God I am rambling....NO I don't think your wrong. End of story *G*
Reply:If you are going to stand for something, stand for it all the way... not just pick and choose.
Reply:Well i believe there is a difference between killing an animal and wearing its fur and shaving an animal for his fur but letting it live...I don't like ugg boots though uck

Is the Movie Theatre experience in America a dying pasttime?

Sure you have new "mega" theatres that serve restaurant grade appetizers and beers, but last years box office tanked drastically. Add the factors of horrible movie going experiences due to a younger, ruder, ethics-free generation of moronic wannabe gangbangers who drive away families by talking on their cell phones and too each other through the whole picture (see; "The Language of Primates" - National Geographic) and the proliferation of cheaper, higher grade home theatre systems. Do you think this American tradition is in jeopardy?

PS - granted, Im being sarcastic about the punk-jerks who ruin the movie experience, but who hasn't encountered a pack of grammatically challenged teens with their baggy pants hanging half way down, wearing fur collared parkas and wolverine work boots...in the summer...who blare their totally inane lifestories for all to hear into their free cellphones from Boost Mobile???

Is the Movie Theatre experience in America a dying pasttime?
Hell yes, I can't remember the last time I went to the movies without someone answering there ringing cell phone and chatting it up for half the movie and don't get me started on the people who seem to show up just so they can fall asleep and snore through the entire movie. As far as talking too each other during the movie I think I've just gotten used to it at the last couple of movies I went to it was like trying to watch a movie in a middle school cafeteria on nacho day I am not kidding people don't even bother to whisper anymore. The funny thing is I rarely see teens at the movies I go to all the bad experiences I have had have been with adults. Oh! except the last movie I went to a family was sitting behind me parents talking loudly kids yelling asking stupid questions the parents ignore you know, the usual, when all of a sudden I here a splashing noise. I think that someone behind me dropped there soda no biggie but no, I am not that lucky I over hear the words, oh no and vomit yes, one of the kids barfed on the floor. I was watching "Eight Below" so I couldn't blame the kid for barfing but the worst part was the parents did not tell the theater staff what happened they just walked out without saying a word. So I say bring on the cheaper, higher grade home theater systems!
Reply:I would disagree with your statement about "a pack of grammatically challenged teens" being the only ones talking during a movie. In fact, it's usually not the teenagers that do the talking... though I admit that I don't go to teen movies all that often.

I think that the price hikes and string of failing "Blockbuster" movies should be a wake up call to the studio executives who still seem to think that big is better. It's not. It's just more expensive.

There are still certain movies that I will go watch in the theater, especially for social occasions (I hardly ever go to the movies by myself), but I also use the phrase, "Oh, that's a definite renter." I've become more discriminating in the movies that I see in the theater.
Reply:I still go to the movies pretty regularly. If I have to tell someone to be quite I will. I think the box office drop may have been due to the quality of the pictures that were out last year.
Reply:I am telling on myself (age wise) but I remember when it cost 25 to go to the movies on Saturday, and popcorn was a dime. There isn't even a cent key icon on the keyboard! The

theatres were huge, palaces really (in Chicago) with the most elaborate interiors, statues, pillars and marble stair-cases leading up to the balcony floor. Seats were covered with velvet..so ornate, so plush, so elaborate. So long ago

and never to be seen again except the few that are restored.

Once in awhile I will go see a movie with a friend, even tho

it cost too much...nothing will ever replace the feeling of

sitting in the dark, looking up at a large screen in front of you and enjoying the movie at the theater. It's a shame. (I am 48)
Reply:What has happened is a lot of Stars are getting Boycotted for their Political statements so thus the Movies get Boycotted as well.
Reply:Ok, I'm 18--but even I have to agree with the quality of movie-goers you're referring to. I remember when I was smaller, my family and I would make a day out of it, and it was something fun. Now, with prices rising on EVERYTHING, the quality of movies declining, and the originality of the movie-experience becoming less appealing, most people would benefit from waiting for it to come out on DVD. Oh--and let's face it--now you only have to wait 3-5 months for THAT! But yes, a part of me still DOES like going to the movies, and a part of me always will. But I liked it before all the high-tech, over-rated, remake propelled theaters popped up everywhere.

The Princeton Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) stages a protest on the Frist North Lawn against the use of animal skins for clothing. PAWS Vice-President Alex Barnard '09 lies in the snow wearing a fur coat covered in fake blood to demonstrate his opposition to animal cruelty. Defying February’s climatic dictates, students lay in the newly fallen snow on the Frist Campus Center’s North Front Lawn on Friday afternoon, feigning death, wearing coats covered with fake blood and sporting signs that read, “What if you were killed for your coat?”

The protest, based on a campaign started by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and organized by the Princeton Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), was designed to raise awareness of animals’ suffering as part of the fashion fur industry. The protest focused on Ugg boots, which are made from sheepskin and are popular among college-age women.

In addition to Uggs, which are openly noted as derived from animals, fur marked as fake may not actually be, PAWS vice president Alex Barnard ’09 explained, adding that clothing imported from China is often unregulated, and recent studies indicate that cat and dog fur may be mislabeled as “faux fur.”

PAWS hopes to address these issues and change people’s perceptions of fashion through the protest.

“We want people to realize that fur, whether it is fake or real, is just ugly, and there’s no reason to wear it at all,” PAWS president Jenny Palmer ’09 said.

Princeton is an ideal place for the protest because of fur’s association with social status, Barnard said. “There is a lot of wealth here,” he explained. “There are people who wear animal products here because they can afford them.”

While PAWS members see demonstrations such as last Friday’s as pivotal to awakening activism on campus, some students see the protests as unnecessarily graphic.

Aly Lopez-Aguiar ’09 noted that while she agrees with PAWS’ mission to decrease the use of fur in fashion, the use of fake blood was “excessive,” she said. “If somebody sees something that graphic, they’re going to be turned off of the issue itself,” she explained.

Palmer, however, defended the use of provocative images.

“There’s always a risk [of offending people],” she said. “Sometimes there’s a lot of apathy; we need to have these shocking images to force people to recognize that the clothes they choose to wear have an impact on animals’ lives.”

Public protests reach a wider audience than the speakers, educational programs and other events that PAWS sponsors, Palmer explained. Protests like the one at Frist aim to alert the public to see the controversy over fur as a “wider issue,” she said.

While such demonstrations are perfectly within PAWS’ right to free speech, the graphic nature of the protest might give a negative impression to prospective students and people trying to get a sense of the University, Haley Thompson ’11 said.

“There are a lot of people [who saw the demonstration] who aren’t students here, and they might find it offensive,” Thompson explained.

For Thompson though, wearing Uggs remains a personal decision, much like being a vegetarian. “You do the same thing when you sit down and eat a hamburger,” Thompson noted. “I don’t feel like it’s all that different, and I’m not a vegetarian.”

Seeing the demonstration did not change her mind, she added. “I’m still going to wear my Uggs.

Will u boycott UGGS 2 save the sheep?
I totally agree.

However, there are many out there who don't.

I fully support PAWS for protesting animal cruelty, but sadly, I don't think that it will help, as a lot of people today are desensitized, and they care of nothing but themselves.
Reply:RIGHT ON!
Reply:HOWEVER MANY PEOPLE ARE POSTING QUESTIONS LIKE THESE, YOU NEED TO STOP NOW. You are just annoying people and we DONT CARE. There are many many many articles of clothing and other brands that use sheep hide/fur, BUT UGGS ARE ALWAYS ATTACKED. And dressing in a fur coat with blood all over it is 1) ridiculous and everyone sees what a pathetic fool you are 2) people aren't going to want to have anything to do with that shananigans and leave and 3) if you are wearing that fur coat, they have got to be in demand! even in protest, why would you dress yourself in what you are against.

And also, if you AREN'T A VEGETARIAN, you have NO BUSINESS POSTING THESE TYPES OF QUESTIONS BECAUSE YOU ARE THEREFORE A COMPLETE HYPOCRITE. If you don't like the way these sheep are treated then you probably wouldnt like the way cows are treated during milking. And if you still drink milk then that's very hypocritical. And if you eat eggs, even free range, then that's not right either. Free range chickens are frolicking freely through grandma's lush green meadow picking at insects. The only difference is that they aren't individually caged. It's all a marketing gimick. So if you aren't COMPLETELY COMMITTED to actually being a vegan and not using ANY LEATHER or sheep fur AT ALL, then get off Y!A.

Also, write your own opinions. Seriously. That may sway peoples opinions. But these overused articles simply coped and pasted onto her doesn't cut it for anyone.
Reply:dude i hate uggs...rock on
Reply:I'm a sweet loli vegan. I hate uggs and think sheep are cute. Real Uggs are for skinheads.
Reply:I think no one should wear those awful shoes in the first place!

And, as a vegetarian, I find it completely wrong to murder defenseless animals to make heinous shoes!

So I'm joining your boycott.
Reply:Stop putting these online! This is soooo annoying! I don't even wear UGGS because I think they are hideous. UGH!!! Maybe I will go out and buy some, just because you have annoyed me enough~!!!
Reply:Why do people keep putting these up??

There's loads of people who are gonna wear them (like me!)

Sheep don't do much anyway..

Reply:well, first off, i'm vegetarian, and i would personally never wear fur, even if it's fake.

i agree with Aly Lopez-Aguiar %26amp; Thompson.

being overly graphic just gives the whole issue a negative issue.

i'm personally not a fan of PETA for this reason [they are hypocrites; ingrid supports bsl; they push their beliefs on other people; they do anything to get attention, etc]

while i would personally never wear fur, i don't think it's my right to go and tell other people not to. [and if i did, i wouldn't get down on the ground and wear bloody fur or make a huge show of it] people should be able to do what they want, %26amp; if wearing fur does not bother them, then they should wear it if they care to.

There should be limits, however, to personal choice, Palmer said. “We appreciate the right of people to make their own choices up to the point where it affects others,” she said.

Because animals may be crammed into cruel slaughterhouses and gassed, decapitated or electrocuted, however, individuals must be especially conscious of the implications of their clothing decisions, Palmer said.

“People don’t have the right to cause that kind of pain, even if they choose to,” she explained.

Barnard said he hopes, however, that the event caused people to reflect on their fashion choices. “If just a few people are affected by it, it’s a success,” he said. “Just a few people can make a difference.”

Features and benefits of sheepskin

UGG® Australia uses only the best quality sheepskin exclusively. Twin-faced sheepskin is used in many of our core products. A piece of twin-faced sheepskin has been treated on both the fleece side, and the skin side.

The wool of genuine sheepskin is extremely dense (more-so than any synthetic), which provides for a more comfortable and durable material.

Fleece breathes, wicks moisture away, and allows air to circulate, keeping feet dry.

Sheepskin is naturally water resistant %26amp; therefore small amounts of moisture will not seep through or damage it.

UGG® Australia sheepskin is naturally thermostatic %26amp; therefore will keep bare feet warm in temperatures as low as -30°F and cool in temperatures as high as 80°F (Sheepskin will naturally insulate by keeping feet warm in the winter %26amp; cool in the summer.)

The sheep that we use have finer wool %26amp; cleaner skin.
Reply:They're super gaudy and I would never wear them, but as for the saving sheep thing... I eat Gyros.... Yum....

Did u know that PAWS is boycotting UGGS, will u stop wearing them?
I wouldnt wear them, but ya i dont think this is going to convince anyone who already has uggs- they knew it was real sheepskin when they bought them- its their own personal decision, even though it may be a inhumane one- people have been wearing real fur and w.e back in the old days, trading fur ect, god gave us dominion over animals. The only thing that upsets me are that the sheep have to die, not for food or something important, but for really, expensive, not even that cute, boots. I wish they made them with some other fake material, but i guess they wouldnt make as much money as it wouldnt be worth as much as real fur. its a busine$$

♥i support PAWS
Reply:well personally i never really liked Ugg boots i thought they where the uggliest boots in the history of boots [im dramatizing it but still ugly boots] but now i think they are SUPER ULTRA UGLY i hate leather and fur things. im a really big animal lover. and yeah that person who said just let people wear what they want i don't think people would like it if we started making coats, boots, gloves [etc.] out of our skin.! thats why i hate fur and leather. its not fair to the animals.!
Reply:I stopped wearing UGG's two years ago - when they went out of style. No one should be caught dead in them anymore - a little behind on the times aren't we?
Reply:No. I think for myself and do my own research and make up my own mind when confronted with protest groups and controversial issues. After thoroughly researching all aspects of this issue I decided that there are far more important issues in the world that require my righteous indignation far more than sheep. I care far more about my fellow as HUMANS who are starving, tortured, impoverished, exploited and suffering needlessly. And peta needs to stop murdering innocent kitty cats and puppies brought to them for care and shelter. They would rather kill pets than allow them to be adopted. They are one of the biggest euthanizers of cats and dog in the US. If anyone doubts this then use the magic of the internet to research and learn the truth about the unethical, animal unfriendly and very cruel group known as peta.
Reply:awwwe omg i have uggs,

I'll wear em.

It's too late now.

Besides, they're the cheap 20 dollar Wal Mart brand, so I doubt any animal was harmed.

Mountain Girls?

I'm a Mountain Girl. I couldn't change IF I wanted to. But I wonder--how many guys would look down on us? What *type* of guy likes mountain girls? I'm not looking for a date, but would YOU be turned-off by my ways? And what kind of guy are you?

I have no accent. Don't like country music. Degree from a good university. Early 20s. But I'm still kinda' Appalachian. Love animals %26amp; know quite a bit about them. Enjoys camping with family %26amp; dogs--doesn't mind getting covered in dirt, ashes, leaves, animal fur, cave slime. Have worn hiking boots most my life. Own a few dresses, but rarely have chance to wear them ~_~. Usually in pants and cool-looking (but cheap!) shirts. Am learning to shoot. Can be goofy. Makes friends easily, but not one of the "social elite". Nice face, nice figure. But no makeup, and long (but neat) natural brown hair. Green eyes. Short. Behavior and clothes not particularly masculine OR feminine. Not girly, not boyish.

Thanks ; )

Mountain Girls?
YOU WOULD BE PERFECT FOR ME
Reply:By the laws of supply and demand, you would be a catch for most guys that are into outdoor stuff (and that is a fairly large portion of the male population) because there are generally more men that really like to do those things than women (yes, there are plenty of women that like those things too, but it is not as common with women as it is with men).

For guys that really like to spend a lot of time outdoors and it is an important part of their life, finding a girl that also enjoys those things (or at least tolerates them) can be a challenge because there are probably about 2 single 'outdoor guys' for every single 'outdoor girl' which puts the numbers in your favor. :) And it is not just going to be backwoods guys either - I have a university degree, work for a big corporation and live in a city - but liking the outdoors is still a big thing that I look for in a woman.

Of course, sharing a love of the outdoors is only one of many things that will (or won't) make two people click. General personality, religious and political views, goals in life, physical appearance, etc all impact it as well. But being into the outdoors should actually give you a leg up with most men over other girls. As for day-to-day dress - while looking sharp in a sexy dress will always catch a guys eye - how a woman dresses (ie: girly vs jeans /t-shirt) does not matter much to most guys (maybe it is a bigger deal on the more dressy east coast).

Why are you asking this? Are you having a hard time finding dates or getting noticed? I would say try joining some group (like a hiking club) that would have a large number of folks with the same interests. Also online dating websites are a good place to find people with similar interests who you would be more likely to click with.

Good luck!
Reply:if ur gonna go into describing what u look like u should just have a picture, that would help a lot.
Reply:I would not be turneed off by your ways, I would actually admire that you can be your self and not be caught up in tryign to impress people for some one your not. Im the male version of you and my idea of a date would be some outdoor activity.
Reply:By mountain girl do you mean that you come from a very close family.

Wern`t all the Lady`s Day fashions flimsy at Aintree?

It made me wonder - if the fashion gurus dictated faux fur coats, sou` westers and gum boots for Royal Ascot in June would they all still follow like sheep?

Wern`t all the Lady`s Day fashions flimsy at Aintree?
I did not understand I'm Sorry
Reply:It shouldn't be called ladies day - I didn't see any ladies, just a load of perma tanned tarts in ill fitting dresses - I thought the idea of tape was that it didn't show! but apparently there was a £35,000 lifestyle prize - my question would be what does it have to do with racing?
Reply:i agree the ladies didnt step up to the mark today.looked like most were hen nights on there way to blackpool.

He dressed in white, and cut out a peice of cardboard, and painted it white, and curved it around his head. He did the same for his legs, then he bought red paint, and splashed it on his stomach. He was a pad.

Reply:I like sexy eskimo theme. Husbands/bf like the mrs. claus thing under their x-mas tree. Save Mrs. Claus for your favorite toy! LOL

Reply:You might try doing something that's not resting on being "sexy." You can be scary or funny, too -- it's Halloween. Too often girls limit themselves to dressing slutty on Halloween, thinking that a tiny plastic skirt, some dramatic makeup, and a bustier is a costume. It's boring and unoriginal.
Reply:its halloween not xmas... so i guess the icey one...

Style help!!!!?

i am going to a party and i am wearing a black skirt with brown fluffy boots (yeti style and fake fur )

1. do black tights go with a black skirt?

2. and what top should i wear?

Style help!!!!?
Dont wear black pantsw b/c black almost never goes with black

wear a blue skirt or long shorts
Reply:wear leather.
Reply:Black tights should go with a black skirt, but some fabrics might not mix well. Like if the skirt's a shiny sort of fabric (like satin), ribbed tights might not look good. But for the most part, black looks good with black.

You'd have to describe the skirt for help with a top. A bright color would probably be good since the skirt and boots are more neutral.
Reply:Black tights defintley go well with a black skirt and find out a black sparkly top.Sleeveless.
Reply:hmm... i wouldn't reccomend the black tights because it would match 2 well if you know what i mean. also, black and brown do not go that well with eachother when they're right next to eachother! (the skirt and the boots are a little far away so they would look ok!) but for the top... hmm.. it depends on what kind of skirt! if it's like a mini skirt, try a nice tank, or long sleeve henley! if it's like a dress kind of skirt, then idk... maybe like a slimming tank or a blouse if its more formal... hope this helps!
Reply:dont wear black tights if your wearing boots and wear a colorful top thats long sleeved.
Reply:don't wear black tights, if you want to wear tights wear flesh couloured ones if you're wearing the skirt and bots.

2. a bright flrity shirt
Reply:wear a tight fitting really long sleeved top so it brings out your figure...with very thin hold ups .. or if the skirts really short tights... jacket..i know you never asked ..but one with the same fur collar as the boots would look fab...x
Reply:of course black goes with black. you should wear something with color!
Reply:Wear a top that has some brown on it, a pattern graphic... ya know? That way you will have something that matches the boots and will tie the whole outfit together.

P.S. I suggest NOT wearing the black tights. Maybe nude colored, or brown nylon leggings would look better. Or even just leg warmers would be cute. Try looking at Wet Seal, they have TONS of leggings in different colors.
Reply:1. sure they will depends if thats the look u want though

2. depends wat tops uv got a bandei top or some sort o sleevless or something might look Koyyoll! Lol :)
Reply:Well since ur going to wear a black skirt, I say no on black tights, and why!!!! wear furry boots,

Try jeans and a casual, yet sexy (Not too sexy) type of shirt....But wear comfy shoes.....You DONOT want to be mistakened as big foot....

Dinner Party - my mother is having a fashion crisis!?

My mother is going to a dinner party this evening and she thinks what she is going to wear is so stylish. I disagree! I tried convincing her to wear something else, but it didn't work! What should I do?

She's going to wear a green plaid dress, brown boots and a huge brown fur overcoat! What a disaster!

Dinner Party - my mother is having a fashion crisis!?
get something you like that you want her to wear and dset it on her bed or somewhere that she will see it. Then when she sees it say mom I think this would look cute on you or something.
Reply:Let her wear what she wants. If she is comfortable in it, then its perfect for her.
Reply:oh no!! that is a fashion no-no. speakinq from the heart i never qet dressed without matchinq, tell her to wear somethinq thats not that dress, qirl i know what yur qoinq throuqh, i have to shop for my mom or she will pick a disaster waitinq to happen!
Reply:Let her be. Let her learn from her own mistakes.

She may very well be 'in' fashion -- it all depends on what kind of party, the age group, and the kind of people (artists can get away with wearing anything).
Reply:OH NO

Fashion disaster!!!! I AGREE ICKKK!! {moms these days!!LOL}

Okay well just tell her to wear something more relaxing like maybe a pair of black pants and a cute long-sleeve shirt! Hope I helped 8o]
Reply:oh no!

show her all of the answers to this question %26amp; maybe she'll change her mind!

or tell her its too special for a weetle dinner party LOL
Reply:Show her other stylish things go to the mall and instead of looking at things for you show her things for people her age. maybe even get some magazines and point out things that would look great on her. People don't listen sometimes they need to see for themselves show her other things just don't tell her she is wrong. Maybe do even a little what not to wear and go through her closet and update make it fun and show her that fashion is fun!
Reply:Okay instead of saying out right how hideous it is suggest an alternative that could maybe in could parts of the outfit she picked out. If she still doesn't budge hide it. LOL
