Mountain Girls?

I'm a Mountain Girl. I couldn't change IF I wanted to. But I wonder--how many guys would look down on us? What *type* of guy likes mountain girls? I'm not looking for a date, but would YOU be turned-off by my ways? And what kind of guy are you?

I have no accent. Don't like country music. Degree from a good university. Early 20s. But I'm still kinda' Appalachian. Love animals %26amp; know quite a bit about them. Enjoys camping with family %26amp; dogs--doesn't mind getting covered in dirt, ashes, leaves, animal fur, cave slime. Have worn hiking boots most my life. Own a few dresses, but rarely have chance to wear them ~_~. Usually in pants and cool-looking (but cheap!) shirts. Am learning to shoot. Can be goofy. Makes friends easily, but not one of the "social elite". Nice face, nice figure. But no makeup, and long (but neat) natural brown hair. Green eyes. Short. Behavior and clothes not particularly masculine OR feminine. Not girly, not boyish.

Thanks ; )

Mountain Girls?
YOU WOULD BE PERFECT FOR ME
Reply:By the laws of supply and demand, you would be a catch for most guys that are into outdoor stuff (and that is a fairly large portion of the male population) because there are generally more men that really like to do those things than women (yes, there are plenty of women that like those things too, but it is not as common with women as it is with men).

For guys that really like to spend a lot of time outdoors and it is an important part of their life, finding a girl that also enjoys those things (or at least tolerates them) can be a challenge because there are probably about 2 single 'outdoor guys' for every single 'outdoor girl' which puts the numbers in your favor. :) And it is not just going to be backwoods guys either - I have a university degree, work for a big corporation and live in a city - but liking the outdoors is still a big thing that I look for in a woman.

Of course, sharing a love of the outdoors is only one of many things that will (or won't) make two people click. General personality, religious and political views, goals in life, physical appearance, etc all impact it as well. But being into the outdoors should actually give you a leg up with most men over other girls. As for day-to-day dress - while looking sharp in a sexy dress will always catch a guys eye - how a woman dresses (ie: girly vs jeans /t-shirt) does not matter much to most guys (maybe it is a bigger deal on the more dressy east coast).

Why are you asking this? Are you having a hard time finding dates or getting noticed? I would say try joining some group (like a hiking club) that would have a large number of folks with the same interests. Also online dating websites are a good place to find people with similar interests who you would be more likely to click with.

Good luck!
Reply:if ur gonna go into describing what u look like u should just have a picture, that would help a lot.
Reply:I would not be turneed off by your ways, I would actually admire that you can be your self and not be caught up in tryign to impress people for some one your not. Im the male version of you and my idea of a date would be some outdoor activity.
Reply:By mountain girl do you mean that you come from a very close family.
