Did u know that Pam Anderson is boycotting UGGS?

Will u stop buying and wearing them to save the sheep?

After helping popularize UGGs, Pamela Anderson is now boycotting the boots after learning they're made from real sheepskin.

"I'm getting rid of our Uggs," Anderson, 39, writes in her online diary.

"I feel so guilty for that craze being started around Baywatch days – I used to wear them with my red swimsuit to keep warm – never realizing that they were SKIN!"

It seems Anderson, 39, thought the boots' woolly lining was attached to a synthetic backing. In fact, the boots are made from sheepskin with the fur intact. "I thought they were shaved kindly," she writes.

"People like to tell me all the time that I started that trend – yikes!"

hmm i didnt know that... interesting information. maybe i should stop wearing mine.
Reply:Hmmmm, Let's recap. Cowboy boots are made from cows, suede jackets are from cows, majority of purses, wallets, couches, chairs, horse saddles, car interior, shoes, etc. I really don't think the Ugg movement will make an impact. She uses leather whips in her sex video's anyway. Maybe she should boycott that instead.
Reply:She sdumb

I own 5 pairs and am gettin more

Reply:Here is what I posted on the other topic very similar to this:

There is no way she really though they were syntheic. It says on the box and on the tag that they are sheepskin. She is only making a fuss now because she got in trouble with PETA, who pays her a lot of money to do their campaigns.

I don't know why everyone is suddenly so outraged that Uggs are sheepskin... It seems like most people don't know that leather is skin from an animal. The sheep skins that Ugg uses are from sheep that were being killed for food anyway (think lamb). Ugg just goes to the food manufacturing companies and makes deals to get the skins. There is very little loss of skin since animals have to be slaughtered for the meat to be fit for human consumption. Sheep are not dying just to make Uggs. PETA is not a trustworthy group, and anything they say needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

All leather is skin. Suede is leather with a different treatment. Most shoes that people wear are leather. It is very hard to find vegan shoes. It is getting easier, but it is still tough. It has to be soemthing you are looking for actively, not something you stumble on.
Reply:i hate MOST animals. i have uggs %26amp; it doesn't really phase me that they are made from sheep. whatevss.
Reply:Not another.. she's getting paid a whole ton of money from PETA. I think she'll say what they want her to say whether she agree's or not. I mean, i've seen her wear fur a lot - that obviously didn't concern her. Plus, she probably eats meat and lamb so it wouldn't make much difference to her anyway whether she throws out a few pairs of boots. I bet half her shoes are made out of leather - cows. I don't think she''s really the most innocent spokesperson for that.
Reply:I'm glad she's finally realised. It is so wrong to kill an animal for a pair of shoes.

PS. I'm not being hypocritical - I'm a vegetarian and I go all out to not buy non-vegan shoes.

PPS. Paula McCarthy or someone with a similiar name is famous for not using any animal skins or furs etc in her shoes.
